Proof Reading | Packaging | Full Colour Printing
Once you have prepared art work or if Printech has prepared artwork for you, it will need to be proofed and signed off before it goes to press. This simple guide to proofing will highlight the most common mistakes to ensure that you get it right, as a well proofed job will save on costly changes, amends or reprints later.
Proofing Documents
Often many issues that arise are the result of poor proofing, do it right and it will save you time, money and so much hassle.
Proof Reading Guide
You'll need a print of your final proof for reference as you check your printers proof. It's easy to check the proofs by having both in front of you.
Get a Second Opinion
It is good to get someone else to check, particularly when it comes to proofing text. It's easy to skim over words or fill in the blanks if something is missing when you're reading it for the hundredth time. Expression and punctuation errors become more apparent when reading aloud.
Take Plenty of Time
Checking is easier when you've stepped away from the job for a while. If possible leave the job for a day or two and come back to it . It's far better to wait and check a proof properly than to rush and have to live with mistakes or pay for a reprint.
